Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Facilities Coordinator 1 to support daily workplace operations in Washington, District of Columbia. This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating an organized, safe, and service-focused office environment while coordinating facility needs, vendor activity, and on-site support. The role works closely with internal teams and service partners to keep the workplace running smoothly and professionally each day.

Responsibilities:
• Perform routine inspections throughout the office to verify that spaces remain clean, functional, safe, and ready for use.
• Receive, coordinate, and monitor maintenance requests, ensuring repairs and minor facility issues are resolved in a timely manner and in line with site standards.
• Support meetings, events, and workspace changes by arranging rooms, assisting with office moves, and helping prepare conference areas.
• Communicate with vendors, building support personnel, and external service partners to organize work effectively and reduce disruption to daily operations.
• Maintain current site documentation, including safety materials, emergency procedures, and operational records, to support compliance and readiness.
• Assist with day-to-day workplace services and respond to employee or visitor needs with a strong customer service approach.
• Help coordinate specialized services and basic procurement-related activities for facility operations when needed.• Previous experience in facilities coordination, property management, hospitality, or another service-driven environment.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to respond professionally to workplace and client needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds to assist with room setups, office adjustments, and daily operational tasks.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and a collaborative mindset focused on team success.
• Familiarity with vendor coordination, event support, or conference room setup is preferred.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety practices and commercial building systems such as HVAC, fire protection, or mechanical and electrical equipment is a plus.
