About Cookie
\n
Cookie Finance is a rapidly growing, VC-backed financial platform built for content creators. We started as a tech-enabled accounting service and quickly became the financial backbone for thousands of creators, influencers, and creator-led businesses.
\n
Now we’re building our next chapter: a multi-product ecosystem of SaaS tools powered by unified financial data. Our platform sits at the intersection of creator income, business operations, and real-world financial behavior, giving us a uniquely rich dataset to build forecasting, personalization, and AI-driven financial insights that creators can actually use. We’re turning messy real-world creator finance data into products that scale.
\n
About the Role\n
Our software engineering team builds our “Cookie Jar” web application which is an all-in-one financial platform for our customers and a workflow engine for our employees. The application uses a mix of in-house technology and external integrations with financial platforms including commercial banking, general ledger, payroll, and financial analytics.
\n
\n
We are hiring a Senior Node/React Engineer to help architect, build, and scale the next generation of the Cookie ecosystem. This role is for someone who thrives in high-growth environments. You will ship production code that directly impacts thousands of creators, influence technical decisions, and help shape the long-term architecture of a data-rich fintech platform.
\n
\n
You will report to the CTO and collaborate closely with Product and Operations to deliver scalable, reliable software.
\n
What You'll Do\n
- \n
- Design, build, and scale full-stack features across our Node.js backend and React frontend using TypeScript
- Architect scalable systems that support financial data workflows, ledger logic, integrations, and analytics at growing volume
- Own features end-to-end, from technical design through implementation, testing, and production release
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code, including unit and integration tests that protect critical workflows
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and non-technical teams to translate complex financial requirements into intuitive software
- Contribute to technical direction and standards by participating in code reviews, improving CI/CD processes, and strengthening engineering best practices
\n
\n

What We're Looking For\n

- 5+ years of full-stack development experience, preferably in high-growth SaaS or startup environments
- Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems, preferably Node and React
- Proficiency with relational databases such as Postgres and ORMs like Prisma
- Experience incorporating AI tools (Claude, Codex) into your development process
- Experience building scalable APIs and integrating with third-party services
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, testing best practices, and production deployment workflows
- Systems-thinking mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and comfort operating with autonomy in a fast-moving environment
- A good sense of humor
