Picture your day in Mequon, WI: you arrive on-site, review prioritized work orders, and set a plan to keep our campus humming. A lighting bank in production needs a quick diagnosis with your Fluke meter, a roof drain requires attention before the next storm, and a team lead has a request tied to a layout change. By afternoon, you’ve coordinated a service vendor for a paving repair, troubleshot a compressor issue, and helped ensure our 1,000+ employees work in a well-maintained, safe, and welcoming environment.
As our Facilities Operations & Building Systems Technician, you’ll report to the Facilities Supervisor and be on-site in Mequon, WI five days a week. You’ll blend hands-on technical skills with coordination and communication to care for our building structures, equipment, and grounds.
What You’ll Take On
- Perform plumbing repairs, including faucets, valves, pipes, appliances, stoppages in waste/drainage lines, and custom machine plumbing.
- Handle electrical fixes for lighting, production machinery, and building equipment; confidently use diagnostic tools such as a Fluke meter.
- Complete carpentry tasks: fixtures, doors, partitions/walls, and furniture repairs.
- Diagnose, repair, and execute preventive maintenance on production equipment and building mechanical systems.
- Use hand and power tools for a wide range of minor repairs.
- Read and interpret prints and mechanical drawings for building layout, expansion, and renovation projects.
- Operate aerial lifts and industrial fork trucks safely and effectively.
- Work in Word, Excel, SAP, and Maintain software to manage preventive maintenance and work orders.
- Participate in after-hours, on-call coverage as needed.
- Champion health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance (state/federal laws, ISO standards, and company policies).
- Demonstrate accountability by meeting commitments, honoring deadlines, and responding promptly to internal customers.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards.
Core Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or 4 years of directly relevant experience.

Preferred Experience
- 4+ years of facilities, maintenance, or closely related experience.
- Support and oversight of capital projects and special repairs (e.g., paving, roofing, flooring).
- Coordinate and oversee service providers (janitorial, landscaping, snow removal).
- Partner with external contractors for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and roofing projects.
- Lead office renovations: disassemble, move, and reassemble cubicles and furniture.
- Welding capabilities for machine repair and custom fabrication (stick and wire).
- Install and maintain compressed air systems, including sweating/soldering copper lines.
- Expert familiarity with English/metric fasteners, wrenches, sockets, and related hardware.
- Business-minded: understand goals and suggest process or facility improvements.
- Comfort with company procedures and standards (Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, and applicable regulations).
