About the Opportunity
A well-maintained 185-unit apartment community in the Sunnyvale/San Jose metro area is seeking an experienced Property Manager to step into a key leadership role. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional who can quickly take ownership of day-to-day operations during a temporary coverage period. The role requires strong organizational skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to maintain compliance while ensuring a positive resident experience in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Oversee daily operations of a 185-unit multifamily community
- Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, ensuring high-quality service
- Manage leasing functions including tours, applications, move-ins, and renewals
- Coordinate maintenance requests, vendors, and timely completion of work orders
- Conduct routine property inspections to maintain safety and curb appeal
- Process rent, issue notices, and maintain accurate resident records
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and operational policies
- Prepare reports and communicate updates to leadership
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Property Manager or Assistant Property Manager
- Strong knowledge of Fair Housing laws and compliance standards
- Ability to independently manage a high-volume apartment community
- Excellent communication and resident relations skills
- Proficiency with property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, RealPage)
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Professional, dependable, and adaptable in a temporary role
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
