Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in mechanical repair, installation, and construction in heavy industry.
- Working knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems as well as the use of all shop equipment such as welding and machining equipment.
- Lock-Out/Tag-Out experience
- Welding experience
Responsibilities
- Inspects condition and operation of plant and mobile equipment and performs necessary repairs, adjustments, and preventative maintenance including handling welding repairs.
- Completes work orders in a timely manner, installing, repairing and fabricating materials out of metal; ensuring availability and functioning of required items; and ensuring safety and resolving immediate safety concerns.
- Responsible for preparing and welding steel and aluminum structures, appendages and equipment.
- Conducts routine inspections of plant and mobile equipment and report findings to Area Manager.
- Responds to emergency situations as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
