Job Summary:
Role as the maintenance manager will initially involve the PM schedules and working to establish predictive maintenance (both in-house and contracting efforts). Other important duties include parts ordering, machine up time and efficiency, minimizing scheduled downtime, and working with the operations crew to reduce scrap and maintain the plant's strong safety record.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensures that maintenance staff adheres to all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Maintains the facility and equipment through preventative maintenance program.
- Responsible for monthly budget and reporting any budgetary issues.
- Identify and present cost saving opportunities to upper management.
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop.
- Oversees the various training programs for the maintenance department.
- Responsible for all mechanical and electrical systems of the plant. Regular hands-on work and training development for a small-medium sized maintenance crew.
- Schedule PM's, assign WO through regular use of CMMS
- Lead the safety committee
- Preventive Maintenance and statistical analysis of equipment performance, develop action plans to address issues
- Budget: Shared responsibility of maintenance department budget
- Select and work with outside vendors: equipment, parts, electrical services, etc.
Knowledge | Experience | Skills:
High school diploma or GED. Ten years’ experience in injection molding maintenance. Extensive knowledge of injection molding equipment, assembly processes, auxiliary equipment, decorating equipment, and automation equipment. Supervision experience required. Must possess own tools for use on the job. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer experience. Preferred experience with Maximo or similar CMMS (preventative maintenance) system.
