\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

• Inventory and assess existing requirements sources, including specifications, Jira stories, architecture and interface documentation, test cases, and stakeholder input.

\n

• Facilitate working sessions with engineers, testers, operators, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguities, and identify gaps.

\n

• Translate informal, incomplete, or inconsistent information into clear, concise, testable, and implementation-independent requirements.

\n

• Identify duplicates, conflicts, ambiguities, assumptions, outdated content, and unresolved decisions requiring stakeholder action.

\n

• Configure, organize, and maintain approved requirements within DOORS Next following established processes and standards.

\n

• Establish and maintain bidirectional traceability between requirements and supporting artifacts.

\n

• Develop lightweight process documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.

\n

• Requirements inventory, gap assessment, and prioritized execution plan.

\n

• Consolidated and baselined requirements modules in DOORS Next, including source traceability and identified open issues.

\n

• Traceability, quality, and coverage reports highlighting gaps, overlaps, and duplicate requirements.

\n

• Requirements management documentation and knowledge-transfer materials.

\n

\n

Required Qualifications

\n

• Proven experience in systems engineering and requirements engineering for complex software-intensive systems.

\n

• Hands-on experience eliciting, analyzing, decomposing, documenting, reviewing, baselining, and managing requirements.

\n

• Experience with IBM DOORS Next (DOORS NG) or a comparable enterprise requirements management platform.

\n

• Experience establishing traceability across requirements, design artifacts, development work items, and testing activities.

\n

• Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, technical writing, and analytical skills.

\n

• Ability to independently navigate ambiguity, organize complex information, and drive work to completion.

\n

• Strong understanding of requirements management, requirements analysis, and requirements capture methodologies.

\n

\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n

• Experience analyzing source code to identify undocumented functionality and derive candidate requirements.

\n

• Experience with Jira, Agile methodologies, and lifecycle traceability practices.

\n

• Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE), architecture modeling, or verification and validation (V&V).

\n

• Experience leveraging automation, static analysis, or AI-assisted approaches to improve requirements quality and discovery.

\n

• Experience with Systems Modeling Language (SysML).

\n

• Experience supporting highly regulated, mission-critical, or large-scale enterprise environments.

\n

\n

Why You'll Love This Opportunity

\n

• Play a key role in bringing clarity, traceability, and structure to a critical software system.

\n

• Work with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating across engineering, testing, and operational teams.

\n

• Apply best-in-class systems and requirements engineering practices in a technically challenging environment.

\n

• Leave a lasting impact through process improvements, documentation, and knowledge transfer.

\n

• Work with modern requirements management tools and explore innovative approaches to improving requirements quality and efficiency.
