Salary: $70,000 - $120,000

To analyze project requirements, develop accurate cost estimates for building automation projects, and support the sales and project management teams in bidding work competitively and profitably.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review plans, specifications, and addenda for control system scope
- Develop detailed takeoffs of controllers, devices, panels, and wiring
- Prepare accurate labor and material estimates for installation
- Coordinate with engineers to clarify scope and sequences of operation
- Request and analyze vendor/supplier pricing
- Build and maintain estimating templates and cost databases
- Prepare bid packages and proposals in coordination with sales
- Attend pre-bid meetings and walk-throughs
- Track and document assumptions, clarifications, and exclusions
- Support project managers during project handoff to ensure budgets align
- Monitor actual project costs vs. estimates for future accuracy improvements
- Maintain awareness of labor rates, productivity benchmarks, and industry trends
- Anything required to meet the needs of the customer
