Position Summary

\n

Our client is seeking a technical leader to oversee Linux infrastructure operations while guiding a team of engineers supporting critical enterprise systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building scalable environments, and helping engineers grow professionally. You'll play a key role in maintaining system reliability, strengthening security, and driving infrastructure modernization initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing

\n

\n
• Manage and develop a team responsible for Linux-based infrastructure and production support.

\n

• Oversee system availability, performance, patching, and operational health across enterprise environments.

\n

• Lead troubleshooting efforts for high-impact outages and infrastructure issues.

\n

• Champion automation and process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.

\n

• Work closely with Security, Network, Application, and Database teams on infrastructure initiatives and support activities.

\n

• Ensure systems meet security, compliance, and operational standards.

\n

• Establish best practices for monitoring, documentation, and change management.

\n

\n

\n

What We're Looking For

\n

\n
• 8+ years supporting Linux systems in enterprise environments.

\n

• 2+ years leading technical teams or infrastructure operations.

\n

• Strong experience with Linux distributions including RHEL, Ubuntu, Rocky Linux, Oracle Linux, or CentOS.

\n

• Solid background in scripting and automation using Bash, Python, and Ansible.

\n

• Experience with system performance tuning, patch management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

\n

• Knowledge of infrastructure security, system hardening, and vulnerability remediation.

\n

• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead projects and mentor engineers.

\n

Nice to Have

\n

\n
• Experience supporting PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle database environments.

\n

• Familiarity with secure file transfer platforms such as Aspera, FileCatalyst, CrushFTP, SFTP, or FTPS.

\n

• Exposure to NIST, CMMC, ISO 27001, or ITIL-based operational processes.

\n
