Role Description The Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Raleigh, NC. This role is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance and repairs on building systems, equipment, and residential units to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and troubleshooting maintenance issues, completing work orders, conducting preventive maintenance, and coordinating with property management and residents to schedule and document repairs. The Maintenance Technician also assists with unit turns, inspections, and upkeep of common areas, while adhering to safety standards and Towne Properties’ quality expectations.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance and Industrial Maintenance to support building systems and property infrastructure.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting and Maintenance & Repair to diagnose issues and implement effective corrective actions.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess skills in Preventive Maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment and facilities.
  • \n

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry, with the ability to use hand and power tools safely.
  • \n

  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and documentation skills, including experience working with maintenance work order systems.
  • \n

  • Ability to work on-site, respond to occasional after-hours emergencies, and perform tasks that may require lifting, climbing, or standing for extended periods.
  • \n

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training or certifications in building or equipment maintenance are preferred.
  • \n

  • Valid driver’s license and a clear driving record; prior experience in residential or property maintenance is a plus.
