Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10-hour days, with additional hours as required

About the Role
\n
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale commercial and data center construction projects in Cedar Rapids, IA. This role will oversee projects from pre-construction and mobilization through implementation and final close-out, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to customer quality standards.
\n
The ideal candidate has strong experience managing structured cabling, telecommunications infrastructure, rack systems, and large-scale construction projects, along with the ability to manage customers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.

What You’ll Do

- Review RFPs, construction plans, specifications, contracts, and bid documents to identify project requirements, risks, and opportunities.
- Serve as a primary client contact and build strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop project start-up, mobilization, resource, equipment, and labor plans.
- Coordinate with Operations and field teams to ensure materials, equipment, and manpower are available when needed.
- Manage project schedules, costs, resources, and contract requirements to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Manage subcontractors and vendors while identifying opportunities to improve project efficiency.
- Lead project meetings, progress updates, customer communications, and internal coordination.
- Work with engineering and site teams to prepare and manage change orders.
- Monitor field installation activities and coordinate with onsite teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Partner with QA/QC teams to ensure installation meets customer specifications, quality plans, and industry standards.
- Track project costs and profitability and evaluate performance against project budgets and schedules.
- Ensure customer requirements, service-level agreements, and master schedules are met.
- Represent the company in customer meetings and project-related communications.
- Coordinate project close-out, customer acceptance, documentation, and final sign-off.
- Provide coaching and guidance to project team members and field personnel.
- Support continuous improvement and Lean initiatives across project operations.

What We’re Looking For
\n

- High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of commercial construction and/or data center project management experience.
- Experience managing the installation of structured cabling, telecommunications infrastructure, rack systems, and related technologies.
- Experience managing large-scale projects valued at $1M+.
- Experience managing customer projects under Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) contracts.
- Previous experience successfully completing telecommunications or structured cabling projects.
- Strong understanding of structured cabling technology, quality standards, safety requirements, and BICSI standards.
- Knowledge of general building codes and construction practices.
- Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, schedules, budgets, and customer expectations.
- Strong problem-solving, root-cause analysis, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects, deadlines, and competing requirements.
- Ability and willingness to travel overnight as required.
