Job Description: The Fabrication Programmer develops programs for the manufacturing of PVA products on the Trumpf Laser and Brake. This position is responsible for process improvement and cost reductions through productivity improvement and machine time reductions, including tool and new product program testing.


Job Details:

  • 6:00 am - 2:30 pm Monday-Friday (1st shift)
  • Starting pay is $25.00 - $32.00 per hour depending on experience


Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops, trains, and provides technical support to less experienced operators.
  • Responsible for quick turnaround support and manufacture of PVA products.
  • Develops processes and programs for the manufacturing of products on Trumpf Laser and Brake. Interfaces with tool engineers, manufacturing engineers, development engineers, quality engineers and production personnel.
  • Analyzes part drawings, sketches, and design data to determine dimension and configuration of cuts and bends.
  • Collaborates and advises design team on design for manufacturability.
  • Develops and maintains programs for the Brake and Laser.
  • Releases jobs and maintains fabrication shop tracker to stay on schedule.
  • Provides time and cost estimates as needed.
  • Maintains confidentiality of customer information, 100% of the time.
  • Keeps a neat and organized work station for safety and efficiency, 100% of the time.
  • Adheres to company policies, 100% of the time.

Requirements:

Skills:

  • Basic knowledge and ability to use fabrication equipment.
  • Understanding of mechanical concepts.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Punctual, dependable, and team-oriented.
  • A self-motivated professional who thrives both independently and collaboratively in team environments.
  • Performs effectively in fast-paced, dynamic settings, maintaining focus and adaptability.

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • Associates Degree in industrial applications or machining, preferred.
