Responsibilities:
• Outline and prepare daily routines for clients, as written in Individual Program Plans
• Assist clients with bathroom needs, personal care, and meal preparation
• Support clients with daily living and vocational activities
• Provide transportation to and from clients' homes and facilities
• Participate in client assessment, planning, and evaluation processes
• Input client notes and review IPP goals with supervisors
• Attend regular staff meetings and continuing education and training
• Perform other related duties and assignments as required
Requirements:
• 1 year experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities (preferred)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a California Driver's License
• Must successfully pass pre-employment requirements, including background checks
• Direct Support Professional Certificate Year 1 & Year 2 (preferred or willing to obtain within the first 6 months of hire)
• Must have First Aid/CPR certification
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Previous experience in a lead, case manager, or supervisory role within this field
• Ability to lift 50lbs and work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
Additional Responsibilities:
• Assist in training and supervising staff in community outings to ensure participant safety, engagement, and adherence to program guidelines
• Assist the Administrator with office tasks, including maintaining face sheets, preparing reports, scheduling meetings, and developing the monthly community schedule
