Job Summary

\n

We are seeking an experienced FPGA Design/Development Engineer to support an R&D program in Owego, NY. The selected engineer will contribute to the development, integration, simulation, testing, and implementation of complex ASIC and FPGA-based systems.

\n

This role focuses primarily on FPGA design and development, including DSP, high-speed digital design, high-speed communications, SoC/embedded FPGA platforms, and hardware integration.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Design and develop FPGA/ASIC solutions for advanced R&D programs.
  • \n

  • Develop SystemVerilog/HDL-based RTL for FPGA platforms.
  • \n

  • Support DSP, high-speed digital, high-speed communication, and SoC implementations.
  • \n

  • Perform simulation, debugging, integration, and hardware testing.
  • \n

  • Work with Xilinx Vivado, Quartus, and/or Synopsys Synplify development tools.
  • \n

  • Use HDL simulators, waveform viewers, and coverage tools for design validation and debugging.
  • \n

  • Support HIL testing, JTAG, logic analyzers, and other FPGA test equipment.
  • \n

  • Develop scripts and automation to improve FPGA development workflows.
  • \n

  • Collaborate with Systems Architects, RF/Analog and Digital Circuit Designers, and ASIC/FPGA engineers.
  • \n

  • Support integration of embedded processors and COTS-based control platforms.
  • \n

  • Provide technical guidance and direction to junior engineers.
  • \n

  • Support development of complex systems incorporating high-speed networking technologies.
  • \n

Required Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • Hands-on experience with FPGA design and RTL development.
  • \n

  • Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog.
  • \n

  • Experience with FPGA development tools such as Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, or Synopsys Synplify.
  • \n

  • Experience with high-speed digital design and/or DSP.
  • \n

  • Experience with HDL simulation, waveform analysis, and debugging.
  • \n

  • Familiarity with FPGA hardware integration and test.
  • \n

  • Experience with JTAG, logic analyzers, or HIL test environments.
  • \n

  • Experience with version control and configuration management systems.
  • \n

Preferred Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • Experience with UVM.
  • \n

  • Proficiency in C programming.
  • \n

  • Experience with SoC/embedded processors implemented on FPGA platforms.
  • \n

  • Experience with high-speed communications or networking.
  • \n

  • Experience developing automation/scripts for FPGA workflows.
  • \n

  • ASIC development experience.
  • \n

  • Aerospace/defense or other complex embedded systems experience.
  • \n

Important Note

\n

This is an FPGA Design/Development position, not a pure FPGA Verification role. Candidates should have strong hands-on experience designing and developing FPGA/RTL solutions.
