Job DescriptionFacilities Maintenance Technician
Shift: 2nd Shift | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Pay: $27–$33/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of a chocolate and food manufacturing facility. This hands-on role is responsible for facility upkeep, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, flooring, and general building maintenance, while also providing occasional support to production equipment and event/staging operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform facility maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance throughout the plant.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical systems (110V/120V), including lighting, outlets, switches, and controls.
- Complete plumbing repairs involving sinks, drains, toilets, water lines, and related systems.
- Maintain and repair flooring, walls, ceilings, doors, and other building structures.
- Support event and facility operations by setting up and maintaining sound systems, staging equipment, and displays.
- Install and maintain facility electronics and low-voltage systems.
- Perform painting, carpentry, and general building improvement projects.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repairs while minimizing operational downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and completed work orders.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, GMP, and food safety requirements.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to support facility and equipment needs.
QualificationsRequired
- 3+ years of facility, building, or industrial maintenance experience.
- Strong plumbing repair skills, including drains, toilets, sinks, and water lines.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair basic electrical systems (110V/120V).
- Experience with carpentry and general building repairs.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Preferred
- Experience in food manufacturing, bakery, confectionery, hospitality, amusement, or industrial environments.
- Exposure to conveyors, packaging equipment, or chocolate/candy production equipment.
- Experience with sound systems, staging equipment, and event support.
- Familiarity with low-voltage systems and facility electronics.

Work Environment
This position is based in a fast-paced food manufacturing facility and includes exposure to production equipment, varying temperatures, and occasional noise. The role requires frequent walking, lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and the use of maintenance tools and equipment.
Schedule: Every Saturday and Sunday, plus three additional weekday shifts of your choice.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.
