Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team on the 1st shift. You will be responsible for supporting two neighboring plants, one specializing in wood and the other in glass. Your role will include executing both preventative and reactive maintenance tasks, particularly focusing on mechanical and electrical repairs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct troubleshooting and repair of motors, gears, bearings, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Utilize LOTO and interpret blueprints and schematics for maintenance tasks.
- Install and troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480v 3-phase.
- Maintain and repair equipment such as 5-axis Mills, CNC Mills, Sanders with CNC drives, glue applicators, rollers, edging machines, tempering furnaces, ovens, brake presses, and industrial washers.
- Perform PLC troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Execute preventative maintenance, including blade changes in the wood shop and wear checks in the glass shop.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient plant operations.
Essential Skills
- 7-10+ years of multi-craft industrial maintenance experience.
- Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting, including motors, bearings, gears, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Expertise in electrical troubleshooting, including schematics, LOTO, 480v 3-phase systems, sensors, fuses, relays, and contactors.
- PLC troubleshooting knowledge.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and good teamwork skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- PLC editing and/or programming knowledge.
- Welding and fabrication skills.
- Experience in a glass or wood manufacturing facility.
- Good attitude, punctuality, and a willingness to collaborate.

Work Environment
Our wood and glass plants are large, clean, and well-organized, featuring a good amount of automation. The work schedule is 1st shift, Monday through Thursday from 7am to 3:30pm, and Fridays from 4/5am to 8/9am. We emphasize a collaborative and supportive work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Goshen, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
