All retired Police personnel are required to have a current New York State Security Guard License.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to all incidents and conduct preliminary investigation.
- Prepare detailed Incident Reports.
- Act as the point of contact for the NYPD, FDNY, and other city agencies upon their arrival on site.
- Respond to all emergencies, fire alarms, criminal events, medical issues, and newsworthy incidents and provide direction while coordinating the responding emergency services response.
Type and Length of Specific Experience Required
- 5 years of Law Enforcement experience is preferred
Skills Required
- Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
- Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
- High attention to detail
Other
- Must have access to reliable transportation.
- Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
- Submit timesheets and reports as required
- Carry out responsibilities in accordance with our policies and applicable City & State laws.
- Maintain a professional attitude with all interactions with clients, employees, and security officers.
- Must prepare written statements and investigations in a clear and concise manner.
- Investigate incidents and/or customer complaints and compile data for accurate reporting.
- Act as a liaison.
- Ability to write effective and concise reports in neat, legible handwriting is required.

Job Types: 4 hour shifts on Varied Tuesdays & Weekends on a pick up basis
