Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions
- Facility Management & Work Orders:
- Review and prioritize the daily facilities discrepancy log to ensure prompt resolution of maintenance issues.
- Plan, assign, and track preventive maintenance schedules across the FBO terminal, hangars, fuel farms, and surrounding grounds.
- Building & Mechanical Systems Maintenance:
- Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and basic electrical systems.
- Execute routine facility upkeep, including light bulb replacements, HVAC filter changes, ceiling tile repairs, door hardware maintenance, and painting.
- Safety & Regulatory Compliance:
- Strict adherence to OSHA standards, environmental safety rules, and company safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Maintain clean, hazard-free work zones and assist in safety audits across hangars and ramp-adjacent facilities.
- Team Leadership & Operational Support:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor service providers, contractors, and internal department requests.
- Assist in managing maintenance inventory, spare parts, and tool organization.
- Perform additional operational duties as assigned by leadership to support peak flight traffic or emergency responses.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience & Certifications:
- EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal / Type II or III) strongly preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification or relevant technical training preferred.
- Proven experience in commercial building maintenance, mechanical repairs, or facilities lead roles (aviation/FBO experience is a plus).
- Skills & Competencies:
- Self-directed: Proven ability to work independently, think critically, and prioritize tasks effectively under tight time constraints.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English to coordinate with managers, line staff, and external contractors.
- Professionalism: Excellent interpersonal skills with a well-groomed, professional appearance adhering to FBO dress code standards.
- General Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid state-issued driver's license.
- Must possess work authorization in the U.S. as defined by the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.
- Ability to pass a mandatory 10-year background check, TSA airport badge clearance screening, and pre-employment drug screening.
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours, weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts when operational needs require.
