Sunny Sky Products prides itself on our commitment and dedication to creating, manufacturing, and delivering top-quality products in the beverage industry. We have generated an extensive product portfolio that includes frozen dispensed beverages, cold dispensed beverages, hot dispensed beverages, and beverage enhancers.
Please note: This is a temporary full-time assignment intended to support business needs. The anticipated duration of the assignment will be communicated as it becomes available. Temporary employees are expected to perform the full responsibilities of the role while maintaining the same quality and safety standards as all team members.
The Company is seeking an organized, deadline-oriented, self-starter to work in a fast-paced environment. An ideal candidate must possess excellent attention to detail, be able to read, write, understand, and speak English, and be able to handle raw ingredients. This position will be actively involved in the Company's Food Safety and Quality Program, production, some receiving, and supporting both the short-term and long-term operational goals of the facility. The ability to work as part of a team is essential. This position performs daily inspections of production equipment and product to ensure the highest standards are maintained and follows established procedures to correct deficiencies and ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Follow appropriate quality testing procedures and take action to meet product specifications (e.g., product testing, label review, in-process testing).
- Monitor the facility during operations to ensure sanitation conditions are maintained.
- Monitor operations to ensure quality programs, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety, and Food Quality requirements, are followed.
- Perform daily pre-operational inspections of equipment to verify sanitation was completed properly and take corrective action when deficiencies are identified.
- Audit process control points to ensure all system controls have been achieved and follow established procedures to address deficiencies.
- Document all audits, test results, and inspections on the appropriate forms daily.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 years of experience in the food or beverage industry preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or laboratory role within the food industry is a plus.
- HACCP training preferred.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications for reporting and recordkeeping.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with peers and management.
- Spanish fluency is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Schedule
- Temporary Full-Time Assignment
- 8-hour shifts with occasional overtime.
- Weekend availability as needed (rotating Saturdays).
Pay
- $17.50 per hour
