Harrison Estates is looking for a dependable, experienced Property Maintenance Technician to help maintain our mobile home community and rental properties in Harrison, Michigan.
We're looking for a well-rounded, hands-on individual who is comfortable handling a variety of maintenance and repair projects. The ideal candidate has experience with general property maintenance, basic HVAC systems, plumbing, and minor electrical repairs.
This position offers steady, year-round work with the flexibility of full-time or part-time hours. You'll have the opportunity to work independently, take ownership of your responsibilities, and help keep our properties in excellent condition.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout our mobile home community and rental properties.
- Troubleshoot and complete basic HVAC maintenance and repairs within your experience and qualifications.
- Perform minor plumbing repairs, including working with PVC and PEX piping.
- Assist with underground plumbing repairs and maintenance.
- Handle minor electrical work, such as replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures, where permitted.
- Complete painting, power washing, and general property upkeep projects.
- Identify maintenance issues and take initiative to address them.
- Work independently while communicating effectively with property management.
- Occasionally assist with maintenance projects at our other mobile home communities as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in property maintenance, handyman services, building maintenance, or a related trade.
- Basic HVAC knowledge and hands-on experience.
- Experience with general plumbing repairs, including PVC and PEX piping.
- Familiarity with underground plumbing work.
- Ability to perform minor electrical repairs safely and within applicable requirements.
- Comfortable using common hand tools and power tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work without constant supervision.
- Positive attitude and ability to get along well with residents, coworkers, and management.
- Reliable transportation and personal basic tools required. Larger specialty equipment is provided when needed.
