Pay Range:
$15.00$16.50 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)
Schedule: MondayFriday, 7:30 a.m. 4:00 p.m. (Start time could be earlier depending on events)

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and service-oriented Full-Time Custodian to help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our members, guests, and staff. This is more than a cleaning positionit is an active, hands-on role that helps ensure our facility is ready for daily programs, special events, and community activities.

What you will be doing:
As a Full-Time Custodian, you'll be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of our facility while assisting with the setup and breakdown of activities and events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness of offices, common areas, activity rooms, restrooms, and entrances by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Clean and restock restrooms and replenish paper and cleaning supplies.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Set up and take down tables, chairs, and equipment for daily activities, meetings, and special events according to room layouts.
- Keep entryways, sidewalks, porches, and exterior areas neat and safe.
- Perform light laundry duties as needed.
- Remove snow and apply salt or ice melt to maintain safe building access during winter weather.
- Respond promptly to custodial and facility setup requests.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Assist with additional duties as assigned to support facility operations.
What you need:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous custodial, facilities, housekeeping, or maintenance experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent service.
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends for special events.
Physical Requirements
This is an active position requiring regular movement throughout the workday. To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, the employee must be able to:
- Frequently stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, and reach.
- Regularly push, pull, lift, and carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Move and arrange tables, chairs, and other furniture for events and activities.
- Frequently use stairs and occasionally climb ladders to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- Safely operate custodial equipment and cleaning tools.
- Perform repetitive motions involving the hands, arms, and shoulders.
