- 10+ years of hands-on experience with a JVM-based programming language (Java, Scala, Clojure, Kotlin, etc.) You will need to work with both of these platforms.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) & Design (OOD) concepts and methodologies. Experience in the Functional Programming paradigm is a plus.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with at least one major commercial Relational Database Management System (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DB2, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Demonstrated proficiency with one or more modern Java IDEs (Eclipse, IntelliJ, NetBeans, etc.)
- Deep understanding on the theory and workings of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS)
- Expert knowledge of the SQL language, including query tuning and performance optimization
