What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot and repair automated manufacturing and packaging equipment.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize uptime.
  • Diagnose electrical issues involving motors, drives, controls, sensors, and circuitry up to 480V.
  • Troubleshoot VFDs, PLC-controlled equipment, and HMI systems.
  • Repair and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Replace and troubleshoot photo eyes, sensors, switches, and other controls components.
  • Perform mechanical repairs on conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and production machinery.
  • Complete MIG and TIG welding and light fabrication projects as needed.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance systems to document repairs and track maintenance activities.
  • Work closely with operators and production teams to quickly resolve equipment issues.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting abilities, including 480V systems.
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial control systems.
  • Knowledge of VFDs, HMIs, sensors, and automation equipment.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency when responding to equipment issues.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Michigan City, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $79040.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
