Project Type: Large-Scale Boiler & Thermal Power Projects

\n

Employment Type: To Be Confirmed

\n

\n

The Opportunity

\n

H9 Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading organisation within the power generation sector to recruit experienced Project Engineers with specialist boiler experience for major energy infrastructure projects across the United States.

\n

\n

These opportunities involve the engineering and delivery of large-scale boiler and steam generation systems within complex, high-value power generation projects.

\n

We are particularly interested in speaking with engineering professionals who have a strong background in conventional power generation, industrial or utility-scale boilers, and major EPC project delivery.

\n

\n

The successful candidates will play a key role in coordinating engineering activities, managing technical interfaces and supporting the successful execution of major boiler projects from engineering and procurement through to construction and commissioning.

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Support the engineering and technical delivery of large-scale boiler projects throughout the project lifecycle.
  • \n

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities, working closely with mechanical, process, piping, electrical and instrumentation teams.
  • \n

  • Review and manage engineering deliverables, including P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, technical specifications and equipment documentation.
  • \n

  • Provide technical oversight and engineering coordination for boiler systems, pressure parts, combustion equipment and associated balance-of-plant systems.
  • \n

  • Liaise with internal engineering teams, equipment manufacturers, suppliers, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
  • \n

  • Support project planning, engineering schedules, technical milestones and delivery requirements.
  • \n

  • Identify and resolve engineering challenges, ensuring technical issues are addressed without compromising project quality, safety or programme.
  • \n

  • Coordinate engineering interfaces between design, procurement, fabrication, construction and commissioning activities.
  • \n

  • Support technical queries, engineering changes, vendor documentation reviews and project reporting.
  • \n

  • Provide engineering support during equipment installation, mechanical completion, testing and commissioning.
  • \n

  • Ensure engineering activities comply with relevant codes, standards, project specifications and quality requirements.
  • \n

\n

\n

Experience & Qualifications

\n

\n

Essential Requirements:

\n

    \n
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • \n

  • Proven experience in a Project Engineering or Mechanical Project Engineering role within conventional power generation or major industrial energy projects.
  • \n

  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on project experience involving large-scale boiler systems.
  • \n

  • Experience working on major capital projects involving industrial boilers, utility boilers or steam generation equipment.
  • \n

  • Understanding of boiler systems, pressure parts, combustion equipment and associated mechanical infrastructure.
  • \n

  • Experience coordinating engineering activities across multidisciplinary project teams.
  • \n

  • Familiarity with relevant engineering standards, including ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes.
  • \n

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, technical specifications and vendor documentation.
  • \n

  • Strong organisational, communication and technical problem-solving skills.
  • \n

\n

Desirable Experience:

\n

    \n
  • Previous experience working for a major boiler OEM, power generation equipment manufacturer or EPC contractor.
  • \n

  • Experience with large natural gas-fired boilers, industrial steam generators or utility-scale boiler systems.
  • \n

  • Background in thermal power generation, combined-cycle power plants, cogeneration or industrial steam facilities.
  • \n

  • Experience delivering boiler islands, steam generation packages or associated balance-of-plant equipment.
  • \n

  • Familiarity with boiler fabrication, field erection, pressure-part installation and commissioning.
  • \n

  • Experience working on complex, high-value power generation projects with demanding engineering and delivery schedules.
  • \n

\n

\n

The Ideal Candidate

\n

We are seeking Project Engineers with a genuine technical background in boiler engineering and conventional power generation, rather than general construction or building services engineering.

\n

Candidates should be comfortable working in technically demanding project environments, coordinating engineering disciplines and supporting the delivery of major mechanical equipment packages.

\n

Experience gained with boiler manufacturers, power generation OEMs, EPC contractors or specialist thermal power engineering organisations would be highly advantageous.

\n

\n

Why Consider This Opportunity?

\n

    \n
  • Opportunity to work on major power generation and energy infrastructure projects across the United States.
  • \n

  • Involvement in technically complex, large-scale boiler and steam generation installations.
  • \n

  • Work alongside experienced engineering and project delivery professionals.
  • \n

  • Exposure to significant capital projects involving engineering, manufacturing, construction and commissioning.
  • \n

  • Opportunity to contribute to the delivery of critical power generation infrastructure.
  • \n
