Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronic Test Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will set up test apparatus, conduct performance evaluations on electronic circuit card assemblies (CCAs), RF circuits, and subassembly units, and troubleshoot failures to the component level. You will work directly from schematics, engineering drawings, and test procedures to ensure all products meet strict quality and performance standards.

This is a hands-on technical position requiring strong diagnostic abilities, proficiency with advanced test equipment, and a commitment to supporting production schedules in a fast-paced environment.

******Shift hours are Mon-Thurs 3:30 PM- 2:00AM EST*****

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up and operate test equipment (Digital Multi-meters, Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, signal generators, frequency standards) to evaluate electronic assemblies.
  • Perform functional and performance tests on CCAs, RF circuits, and subassemblies following established methods, procedures, and sequences.
  • Troubleshoot failures to the component level using schematic diagrams, isolating issues in both Analog and Digital circuitry.
  • Adjust, calibrate, and align electronic systems as required; replace defective components or parts as directed.
  • Analyze test results to evaluate product performance; recommend modifications to testing equipment or manufacturing processes.
  • Assist engineers in the design and development of new test procedures and product improvements.
  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with Statistical Process Control (SPC) or other control procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of test results, maintenance actions, and non-conformances using Microsoft Suite and data collection programs.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring devices in performing job duties.
  • Work effectively within a production environment to meet customer delivery schedules.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent, with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree (or demonstrated ability to perform para-engineering tasks).
  • Minimum of 1 year of direct experience in testing electronic assemblies (circuit card assemblies, RF circuits, subassemblies).
  • Proficient in component-level troubleshooting of solid-state and digital circuits.
  • Strong knowledge of solid-state devices and micro-circuitry; ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and other data collection programs for accurate documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with Flying Probe testers and/or high-power test equipment.

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Familiarity with Radar Systems testing and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Vibration and Thermal Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) of CCAs and subassemblies.
  • Background in Radio Frequency (RF) troubleshooting.
  • Experience operating Flying Probe test equipment.
  • Knowledge of digital circuitry diagnostics and repair.
