Job DescriptionPosition Summary
We are seeking a Project Engineer to support capital and process-related projects in a chemical manufacturing environment. This position will manage engineering projects from scope development through installation and completion while working closely with plant operations and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute capital projects
- Define project scope, budgets, schedules, and execution plans
- Track and manage project spending
- Coordinate engineering activities, equipment purchases, contractors, and installations
- Work closely with plant operations and maintenance teams
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues
- Support equipment startup and project implementation
- Ensure projects are completed safely, effectively, and within established requirements
- Maintain ownership of project schedules, costs, and deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required
- Approximately 5 years of process engineering and/or project engineering experience
- Chemical-process or chemical-manufacturing experience
- Capital-project management experience
- Experience managing budgets and project spending
- Hands-on plant or manufacturing experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Strong ownership and project-management abilities
