The Armed Security Officer protects corporate facilities, retail properties, and industrial sites through a combination of stationary posts and scheduled patrols. Reporting to the Security Supervisor or Security Manager, the officer manages site incidents independently pending escalation while maintaining a professional, safety-focused presence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct perimeter patrols and scheduled security rounds.
• Perform visitor screening and access control.
• Monitor CCTV systems and identify potential security concerns.
• Respond to and manage site incidents independently pending escalation.
• Coordinate emergency response activities.
• Prepare accurate security and incident reports.
• Preserve evidence and protect incident scenes.
• Maintain firearm safety and comply with applicable security procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Valid state armed security guard license.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in armed security.
• Security training coursework.
• Incident reporting experience.
• Emergency response experience.
• Firearms safety training.
• De-escalation skills.
• Strong observation skills.
• Effective communication skills.
