Schedule and Expected Hours
This is typically a full-time, Monday–Friday position, with most work performed between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Because many of our customers operate seven days a week, some flexibility may occasionally be needed. Technicians also have flexibility in planning their routes and organizing their workweek.
Job Summary
The SEALS Connecticut is hiring an Installation Technician to service commercial kitchens throughout Connecticut.
This is a field-based position in which you will travel between customer locations in a company-provided van. You will primarily install commercial refrigeration gaskets while also assisting with door adjustments, hardware replacement, and other commercial kitchen maintenance and repair services.
We provide the vehicle, tools, and training needed to succeed. The right candidate will be dependable, comfortable working independently, and able to communicate professionally with customers.
Responsibilities
- Install refrigeration door gaskets and related products in restaurants and other commercial kitchens
- Perform basic door adjustments, hardware replacement, and minor repair work
- Travel between customer locations throughout Connecticut
- Plan daily routes and manage appointments efficiently
- Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit and operation
- Communicate professionally with customers and company management
- Maintain the company van, tools, and supplies
- Accurately document completed work and any additional issues found onsite
Qualifications
- Self-motivated, dependable, and results-driven
- Comfortable working independently and managing a daily schedule
- Basic handyman or mechanical skills
- Able to use common hand and power tools
- Comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, and performing hands-on installation work
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Professional appearance and customer-service skills
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
Previous installation, maintenance, construction, appliance repair, or commercial kitchen experience is helpful but not required. Training will be provided.
