IT Technician (Full-Time)

Job DescriptionDescriptionUnder the direct supervision of the partners, The IT technician position installs, modifies and makes minor repairs to personal computer hardware and software systems, and provides technical advice and support to system users. A successful IT Technician must have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks and operating systems. The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail. Key ResponsibilitiesOn-going responsibilities:
- Offer operations and system support to firm personnel (telephone, in-person and online support)
- Set up workstations with computers and other necessary equipment/equipment access
- Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging, etc.)
- Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule
- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
- Check electronic hardware to ensure the functionality
- Install and configure appropriate software and functions per specifications
- Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work
- Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders
- All other duties as they are assigned.
Skills Knowledge and ExpertiseRequirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Information Systems or relevant field

- Punctual

- Self-motivated with strong work ethic and ability to juggle multiple tasks and demands
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding detail, organizational, and time-management skills
- In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
- Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
- Common Sense; a talent for making connections between unrelated pieces of information for purpose of anticipating needs and preventing problems
Office LocationThis position will be on-site all 5-days for the first 90 days. After which, a hybrid schedule (1x at home) can be considered.
