Job Title: Maintenance Technician II

Job Description

This role focuses on troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of manufacturing equipment, including robotics and automation systems. You will work with both mechanical and electrical components, interpret blueprints, and use interface tools to identify and resolve complex issues. The position requires a strong hands-on approach to maintaining equipment reliability and supporting continuous production operations.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various types of manufacturing equipment, including robotics and automation equipment.
  • Independently identify and resolve complex mechanical and electromechanical malfunctions to minimize downtime.
  • Repair or replace defective components such as motors, sensors, actuators, and control systems.
  • Use lockout/tagout procedures to safely isolate equipment during maintenance and repair activities.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to support accurate repairs and installations.
  • Utilize GUI and HMI components to assist in troubleshooting and correcting system issues.
  • Perform both mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
  • Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment status and issues to relevant stakeholders as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment, including robotics and automated systems.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to work on electromechanical systems.
  • Hands-on experience with lockout/tagout procedures for safe equipment isolation.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and related technical documents.
  • Experience using GUI and HMI interfaces to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
  • Capability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electromechanical problems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs is preferred but not required.
  • Skilled in maintaining automated equipment in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when diagnosing equipment issues.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance tasks effectively.

Work Environment

This position is based in a brand-new, climate-controlled facility, providing a comfortable and consistent working temperature throughout the year. You will work around automated manufacturing and robotic equipment, using tools such as GUI and HMI interfaces to monitor and troubleshoot systems. The environment is structured to support safe maintenance practices, including the use of lockout/tagout procedures, and is focused on maintaining a clean, orderly, and modern production space.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Sarasota, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $31.00/hr.
