Job Title: Custodian – 3rd Shift
Location: Sturgis, MI (Onsite)
Duration: Contract through 06/01/2027
Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM (40 hours/week)
Overtime: Hours worked over 40 per week are paid at time and a half.
Job Summary
We are seeking an Environmental Cleaning Specialist to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for performing industrial cleaning of production areas using approved cleaning methods, chemicals, and solvents while following all safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform industrial cleaning of production and manufacturing areas.
- Clean equipment, floors, walls, and work surfaces according to established procedures.
- Mix and prepare chemical cleaning solutions and solvents safely.
- Follow all safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
- Properly handle, store, and dispose of cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain cleanliness to support production operations.
- Use cleaning equipment and tools effectively.
- Complete cleaning tasks accurately and on schedule.
- Report safety hazards or equipment issues to management.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in industrial cleaning, janitorial, custodial, sanitation, or manufacturing cleaning is preferred.
- Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and solvents.
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
- Willingness to work overnight (3rd shift) and overtime as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
