Title: Service Desk
Location: 5 days a week onsite Brownsville, WI
Duration: 6 month contract to hire
Overview
We are seeking an entry-level IT Support Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with foundational IT knowledge and a strong willingness to learn. The position starts with hands-on hardware support and evolves into user support, troubleshooting, and service desk responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hardware onboarding and setup for end-user equipment (computers, peripherals, etc.)
- Image, configure, and deploy devices; troubleshoot installation or setup issues
- Process returned hardware, reimage systems, and prepare devices for reissue
- Provide technical support via phone, remote tools, and occasional in-person assistance
- Troubleshoot common IT issues including:
- Office 365 applications
- Password resets and MFA (multi-factor authentication)
- Mobile device support (iOS, Android)
- Printer and connectivity issues
- Support users remotely where possible; escalate to in-person support as needed
- Respond to and resolve tickets, including:
- Printer troubleshooting across buildings
- Hardware connectivity issues (e.g., docking stations)
- End-user application and access problems
- Gradually transition into phone-based help desk support after initial onboarding period
Qualifications
Required:
- Basic understanding of IT concepts and computer hardware
- Ability to navigate a computer system and identify core components
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
- Good communication and customer service skills
Preferred:
- Exposure to Microsoft Office 365 and troubleshooting common applications
- Familiarity with Active Directory (training will be provided)
- Hands-on or self-taught IT experience (home lab, certifications, coursework, etc.)
Experience Level
- Open to entry-level candidates with foundational IT knowledge
- Ideal for individuals who have explored IT independently or through school/training
- Not suited for candidates with zero exposure to IT concepts
Training & Growth
- Hands-on training provided for Active Directory and internal systems
- Initial focus on hardware onboarding and setup

- Exposure to a variety of systems, tools, and troubleshooting scenarios.
