Job Description
Head of eCommerce- Hybrid - NYC
\n
This is an opportunity to join a fast-scaling, venture-backed beauty-tech company selling direct-to-consumer, with a growing presence across major retail marketplaces and social commerce. They're recognised for pioneering personal care technology and are expanding into new product categories.
\n
They're looking for a senior digital leader to take end-to-end ownership of the DTC growth engine revenue, margin, and the strategic decisions that move both. It's the most cross-functional seat on the marketing team, spanning paid media, conversion, creative performance, and retention, with real judgment over where to focus effort for maximum impact.
\n
You'll have a small team and agencies to leverage. Your role is to set the strategy, build the systems, and be accountable for the results, not to run ads day-to-day yourself.
\n
\n
Core Responsibilities
\n
-P&L ownership - full accountability for DTC revenue and contribution margin
\n
-Acquisition strategy - setting direction and budget across core paid channels, with an eye on newer platform opportunities; managing the contractor against clear performance targets
\n
-Creative performance -running the testing engine for ad creative: new angles, iteration speed, and a disciplined process tied back to acquisition metrics
\n
-Conversion optimisation -the full Shopify conversion path: landing pages, product pages, bundling, checkout, and post-purchase upsells, working alongside dev resource
\n
-Retention & lifecycle - managing the CRM agency and driving results across email/SMS
\n
-Reporting rhythm -building the operating cadence: weekly scorecards, monthly forecasting, quarterly reviews
\n
\n
This person sits across the whole growth funnel, top, middle, and bottom and decides where the highest-leverage problems are.
\n
\n
What We're Looking For
\n
-Proven experience of scaling a DTC brand
\n
-Strong hands-on experience with Meta and Google at scale, with a track record of profitable growth
\n
-Solid grounding in CRO, offer design, lifecycle/CRM, and structured experimentation
\n
-Track record managing people, contractors, and agency partners with clear accountability
\n
\n
Helpful but not essential: background in beauty, skincare, wellness
\n
\n
Benefits
\n
-Bonus incentives tied to growth and efficiency
\n
-Equity potential depending on seniority
\n
-Full health/dental/vision cover, unlimited PTO, hybrid working
