This role requires someone who can manage complex systems, protect the company’s technology environment, support employees and executives with professionalism, and translate business needs into secure, reliable, and scalable technology solutions.

  • Own the Environment – Takes responsibility for the reliability, security, performance, and continuous improvement of HCI’s technology systems.
  • Security and Compliance Mindset – Understands that cybersecurity, access controls, documentation, and CMMC/NIST compliance are core business responsibilities.
  • Practical Technical Leadership – Can lead IT staff, contractors, vendors, and projects while staying close enough to the work to solve problems directly when needed.
  • Service and Business Partnership – Supports employees, executives, and branch operations with responsiveness, clarity, and a strong focus on business continuity.

Position Summary

Hydraulic Controls, Inc. is looking for a hands-on Corporate Information Technology Manager to lead and strengthen our companywide technology environment. This role is ideal for an IT leader who can balance strategy with practical execution — someone comfortable managing infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, ERP systems, vendors, and day-to-day user support in a multi-site business environment.

The Corporate IT Manager will help ensure HCI’s systems are secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with business needs. This position will oversee IT staff and external partners, support executives and branch operations, lead technology projects, maintain our cybersecurity and compliance posture, and help guide the safe adoption of new tools, including AI and Microsoft Copilot solutions.

Key Responsibilities


Technology Strategy and Leadership

  • Own IT strategy, roadmap, and budgeting aligned with enterprise priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on technology, risk, and investment decisions.
  • Lead IT staff, contractors, and service providers, including hiring, development, and performance management in accordance with company policies.


Infrastructure, Cloud and Networks

  • Oversee on prem and hybrid environments including VMware, Windows Server, storage, backups, and disaster recovery.
  • Administer Microsoft 365, Azure AD, identity lifecycle, MFA, and conditional access.
  • Manage network infrastructure including Cisco firewalls, switches, wireless, VPNs, and Dell business class hardware.


Cybersecurity and Compliance

  • Lead cybersecurity operations in coordination with internal teams and external partners.
  • Maintain and continuously improve CMMC and NIST 800 171 compliance, including documentation, audits, and evidence management.
  • Oversee endpoint security, identity and access controls, and security awareness training.


ERP and Service Delivery

  • Provide ownership and escalation support for TrulinX ERP, including server software updates.
  • Establish help desk standards, SLAs, and escalation paths.
  • Deliver high touch support for executives and mission critical operations.


Project and Vendor Management

  • Lead system upgrades, cloud migrations, infrastructure modernization, and security initiatives.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service performance.
  • Govern safe adoption of AI and Copilot solutions to improve productivity and decision making.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience leading enterprise IT operations in a multi state environment.
  • Strong expertise with Microsoft 365, VMware, Cisco networking, cybersecurity tools, and ERP systems.
  • Experience maintaining CMMC or comparable compliance frameworks.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.


Preferred Certifications

  • CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or CASP
  • Microsoft 365 / Azure certifications
  • VMware VCP
  • Cisco CCNA or higher
  • CMMC related training or credentials

Work Location

This role is an enterprise-wide leadership role, currently based in Modesto, California with a geographically disbursed team.

Compensation

The expected starting salary range for this exempt position is $125,000 - $150,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, background, and alignment with the needs of the role.
