About Daiwa Capital Markets America Inc.:

Incorporated in 1964, Daiwa Capital Markets America Inc. (“DCMA”) is a New York-based registered securities broker-dealer, a futures commission merchant, a primary dealer of U.S. Treasury securities, and a member of the New York Stock Exchange and other major U.S. exchanges. Our main focus is on the sales and trading of Japanese, Asian, and U.S. equities, fixed income instruments, financial futures, and investment banking for institutional customers. DCMA’s ultimate parent company is Daiwa Securities Group Inc., one of the largest brokerage and financial services groups in Japan.

Position Summary:

DCMA is seeking an AI & Data Solutions Analyst to join the Business Process Improvement (BPI) team, with a focus on accelerating the adoption of AI across the organization.

This role sits at the intersection of business and technology. You will partner with stakeholders across the firm to identify process improvement opportunities and translate business needs into practical, scalable AI, data, and automation solutions. You will also play a critical role in enabling adoption by working directly with business users to design and build solutions using tools such as Microsoft Copilot—helping teams improve productivity, decision-making, and operational efficiency.

Core Responsibilities:

AI, Data & Technology Solutions

  • Design and build practical AI, data, and automation solutions to improve business workflows
  • Develop and refine AI use cases, prompts, and workflows using Microsoft tools
  • Build dashboards and data solutions to uncover insights and drive decision-making
  • Partner with technology teams to support scaling and production deployment of solutions
  • Identify reusable patterns and solutions that can be applied across the organization

Business Process Improvement & Analysis

  • Analyze current workflows and data flows, including decision logic and key data inputs, to identify AI, automation, and analytics opportunities and inform solution design.
  • Map business needs to available tools to define best-fit solutions
  • Translate insights into build-ready concepts and working prototypes

Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement

  • Partner with business users as “citizen builders” to co-develop and iterate solutions
  • Act as a translator between business and technology, simplifying complex concepts into practical applications
  • Drive adoption through hands-on collaboration, coaching, and light enablement materials
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and business-led innovation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, process improvement, or solution development
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business problems into working solutions or prototypes
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claud, ChatGPT) and data tools (Power BI preferred)
  • Experience building dashboards, workflows, or prototypes (Power BI, Power Platform, or similar tools strongly preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down and design solutions from complex processes
  • Experience working with stakeholders to deliver practical, scalable technology-enabled solutions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
