Green Oak Property Management is a fast-growing residential property management company based in Los Angeles, and we are hiring a reliable, skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team with a clear path from part-time (10–35 hours/week) to full-time within the next 6–8 months as we continue to scale. This is not just another handyman role — you’ll be part of a professional, organized operation where quality work, communication, and accountability are valued, and where strong performers have real opportunity for consistent hours and long-term growth. Pay starts at $30/hour (W-2) depending on experience, with mileage reimbursement. You will be responsible for handling day-to-day maintenance work orders and unit turnovers across our Los Angeles County portfolio, including plumbing repairs (leaks, garbage disposals, under-sink piping), basic electrical (fixtures, outlets, switches), drywall patching and painting, door hardware and locksets, cabinet adjustments, tub and shower caulking, window screen repair and re-screening, pressure washing, general property upkeep, inspections, and turnovers, with an expectation of efficiency, cleanliness, and strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who does not require micromanagement, is highly dependable and punctual, communicates professionally with tenants and owners, is comfortable using a smartphone for photos and updates, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. Requirements include a valid California driver’s license, reliable vehicle, personal tools, 3+ years of hands-on maintenance or handyman experience, ability to pass a background check, and being insured or insurable. Preferred (but not required) experience includes knowledge of building codes, smart home installations, a construction background, bilingual Spanish, and strong customer service skills. This role starts part-time with non-guaranteed hours but is intended for someone looking for a long-term position as we continue to grow, creating consistent workload and advancement opportunities.
