The Building Facilities and Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of building facilities. This role involves performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and implementing preventive maintenance plans to ensure the longevity and efficiency of both the building infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of building facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Fix lighting fans, motors, and water pipes.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance services.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and work orders.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Repair and replace defective parts in machinery and equipment.
- Ensure machinery is operated safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance-related issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.

Work Environment
The work environment includes a day shift schedule with training from 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday-Thursday, occasionally requiring overtime on Fridays. After training, the schedule transitions to 4x10's starting at 7:30am Monday-Thursday, with potential to work up to 50 hours occasionally. The role involves physical demands such as lifting and carrying heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.), working in confined spaces and at heights, and standing and walking for extended periods.

This is a Contract position based out of Cornelius, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
