Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex construction and electrical projects, including lighting and data rollouts. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project deliveryoverseeing planning, execution, budget, schedule, quality, safety, and stakeholder relationshipswhile coordinating multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors to achieve on-time, on-budget outcomes with high standards of compliance and workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full project lifecycle for construction, electrical, lighting, and data rollout projects from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans; deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Manage and coordinate contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure scope, quality, and safety requirements are met.
  • Prepare, review, and administer contracts, purchase orders, and change orders; control project costs and approve expenditures within delegated authority.
  • Serve as primary client and stakeholder contact; communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans clearly and regularly.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards (NEC), local regulations, and company safety policies; promote a strong safety culture on site.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks; resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that impede progress.
  • Oversee quality control and commissioning activities for electrical, lighting, and data systems; ensure proper testing, documentation, and handover.
  • Mentor and develop junior project managers and field staff; lead project meetings, walkthroughs, and post-project reviews.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting, including RFI log, submittals, daily reports, and closeout records.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of progressive project management experience in construction with demonstrable experience in electrical construction, lighting systems, and data/low-voltage rollouts.
  • Proven track record managing medium to large-scale projects, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), local building codes, and industry best practices.
  • Experience with project management and construction software such as MS Project, Procore, Primavera, or similar.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Knowledge of commissioning, testing procedures, and documentation for electrical, lighting, and data systems.
  • OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification preferred; demonstrated commitment to jobsite safety.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
