Dynamics 365 F&O Functional Consultant: SCM & Finance

Location: Houston, TX

Working Pattern: Fully Onsite 5 days


We are working with a leading organisation within the Oil & Gas sector currently undergoing a major enterprise transformation programme focused on modernising and standardising business systems across the organisation.


As part of a large-scale ERP transformation initiative, they are migrating multiple legacy ERP systems onto Dynamics (F&O). Two implementations have already successfully gone live, with two further projects currently underway, including migrations from a legacy ERP platform dating back to 2009 and an existing Infor environment.


The Role:

You will work closely with business stakeholders and project teams to support the migration, implementation and optimisation of Dynamics 365 F&O, with a strong focus on Supply Chain Management (SCM) and core Finance capabilities. This role would suit someone with strong functional knowledge who is comfortable working in a hands-on environment and contributing throughout the full project lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation and rollout of MS D365 F&O across multiple business units
  • Gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into functional solutions
  • Configure and support Dynamics 365 F&O modules
  • Work with stakeholders across finance and supply chain functions to ensure business processes are aligned
  • Participate in workshops, testing, training and go-live activities
  • Support data migration and transition from legacy ERP platforms
  • Collaborate with technical teams and implementation partners throughout project delivery
  • Provide recommendations and best practice guidance for process improvement


Required Experience & Skills:

  • Experience working with Dynamics AX and/or Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
  • Strong knowledge across all Supply Chain Management modules
  • Finance experience with strong understanding of General Ledger (GL) and broader finance processes
  • Experience participating in ERP implementation projects
  • Ability to work closely with business users and cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills


Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of 1 full lifecycle implementation (FLC) experience
  • Approximately 3–5 years of relevant Dynamics AX / D365 F&O experience
  • Comfortable operating within a fast-paced project environment
  • Experience supporting ERP transformation initiatives is highly desirable
