Job Description

Lone Star Facility Management LLC is seeking an independent, skilled, and reliable Handyman Technician (1099) to support office and industrial facilities across a mixed commercial portfolio. The technician will manage locally dispatched service calls, prepare accurate documentation, communicate professionally with customers, and receive day-to-day technical oversight from the facilities manager. This role offers a pathway to lead technician responsibilities and includes occasional emergency coverage through a rotating on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate service estimates and document parts and labor.
Conduct quality inspections using required checklists.
Communicate professionally with customers throughout each service call.
Submit service notes, photos, inspection checklists, customer sign-offs, and completion documentation.
Use facilities management software to manage assignments and service documentation.
Respond to locally dispatched assignments across the assigned service territory.
Participate in occasional emergency coverage through a rotating on-call schedule.

Required Qualifications

Completion of a vocational program.
Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of experience in handyman service.
Experience supporting office and industrial facilities or mixed commercial properties.
Experience with commercial work.
Preventive maintenance and electrical troubleshooting experience.
Proficiency with facilities management software and technical documentation.
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
