Our clients at St. Luke's Private School, located in New Canaan, CT, is seeking two mature-minded, reliable, and professional Security Personnel to maintain a safe, welcoming, and secure environment for their students, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidates pair a strong security presence with outstanding customer service and excellent communication skills.
Full-Time Lead Security Guard working Monday thru Friday, afternoon/evening shift (2:00 PM to 10:00 PM) at St. Luke’s School is critical to managing the high-activity transition from the regular school day to after-school athletics, evening events, and nightly campus lockups.
Part-Time Weekend Security Guard working the Saturday and Sunday, shift (8:00 AM to 6:00 PM) at St. Luke School is responsible for securing the campus during its peak times for weekend athletic tournaments, facility rentals, and campus maintenance.
Job Summary
The Lead Security Guard oversees day-to-day campus security operations, monitors perimeter access, manages visitor protocols, and serves as a primary responder for safety incidents. This role requires a balance of sharp security acumen and a friendly, community-oriented demeanor to interact positively with young students, parents, and school administrators.
Weekend Security Guard monitor the campus during high-volume weekend events, such as home sports games, youth league tournaments, or private facility rentals. Ensure visiting teams and spectators park in designated areas and stay within permitted facilities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensure: Must possess an active, valid Connecticut Guard Card.
- Certifications: Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications are required.
- Experience: 2–3+ years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military service. Experience in an educational or campus environment is highly preferred.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and patrol both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions for the duration of your shift.
- Core Competencies: Strong interpersonal skills, reliable punctuality, and the ability to confidently handle emergency scenarios independently.
