The Assistant Janitorial Supervisor supports the Janitorial Supervisor in coordinating a small cleaning team serving office facilities. This role helps maintain high cleaning and sanitation standards through staff coordination, inspections, scheduling, training support, supply management, safety oversight, and issue resolution. The position involves no travel between facilities and may advance to Lead Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily activities for a small cleaning team.
- Conduct cleaning inspections and support quality control efforts.
- Manage cleaning supplies and monitor inventory levels.
- Prepare and maintain shift schedules.
- Support safety compliance and incident reporting.
- Assist with staff training and development.
- Monitor equipment maintenance and report equipment issues.
- Resolve operational issues and communicate concerns to the Janitorial Supervisor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and sanitation standards.
- Understanding of chemical handling and safety compliance.
- Experience with inventory control and staff scheduling.
