We are currently seeking a talented Senior level Windows Administrator Task Lead to join our growing team. This person will be responsible for delivering top-quality results and taking on new challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily Windows Server administration activities, providing technical direction, task prioritization, and operational oversight for enterprise Windows environments.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for Windows infrastructure operations, ensuring system availability, reliability, security, and performance.
- Coordinate and assign Windows administration tasks, monitor execution, and ensure timely completion of operational and project-based activities.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and troubleshooting support to Windows administrators while promoting consistent operational standards and best practices.
- Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise Windows Server environments supporting mission-critical operations.
- Monitor system health, analyze performance metrics, identify potential issues, and coordinate proactive remediation efforts to maintain infrastructure stability.
- Perform capacity planning, performance assessments, and infrastructure optimization activities to support scalability and future enterprise requirements.
- Manage and maintain Active Directory services, including domain services, Group Policy administration, organizational units, user access controls, and authentication services.
- Implement and enforce identity and access management practices in alignment with enterprise security policies and compliance requirements.
- Lead Windows patch management activities, including planning, testing, scheduling, deployment, validation, and compliance tracking.
- Coordinate vulnerability remediation efforts with cybersecurity teams to ensure timely resolution of security findings.
- Ensure Windows systems comply with enterprise security standards, configuration baselines, and operational procedures.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation solutions to improve efficiency, reduce manual administrative tasks, and standardize repeatable processes.
- Support infrastructure projects, system upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management initiatives.
- Provide escalation support for complex Windows infrastructure issues and drive root cause analysis and resolution.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge repositories to support consistent system administration practices.
- Provide technical leadership in maintaining secure Windows environments through system hardening, patch compliance, vulnerability remediation, and adherence to cybersecurity requirements.
- Support audit readiness activities by maintaining accurate system documentation, compliance records, and operational evidence.
- Ensure administrative activities follow enterprise security policies, access control requirements, and change management procedures.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
- Demonstrated experience leading a small team or coordinating Windows Server administration activities in an enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server architecture, Active Directory, Group Policy, identity management, and enterprise infrastructure operations.
- Experience troubleshooting complex Windows infrastructure issues and providing technical guidance to junior administrators.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate technical tasks, and support operational objectives.
- Strong understanding of system security practices, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and compliance requirements.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Active Secret security clearance required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant industry certifications and/or advanced technical training preferred.
- Experience serving as a technical lead, task lead, or senior administrator within enterprise or government environments.
- Experience with automation tools, PowerShell scripting, infrastructure monitoring, and system optimization.
