Title: Facilities Technician (HVAC)
Location: Santa Monica, CA
Duration: 6+ Months
Hours Per Week: 40
Role Overview:
This position supports day-to-day facilities operations within a regulated manufacturing environment, providing hands-on technical expertise focused primarily on HVAC systems and facility infrastructure. The technician will troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and optimize HVAC equipment and supporting utilities while ensuring reliable operation of critical facility systems. Responsibilities include preventative and corrective maintenance, vendor coordination, equipment inspections, and support of facility compliance activities. This individual will play a key role in maintaining environmental conditions that support GMP manufacturing operations.
Required Skills:
* 5+ years of facilities maintenance experience
* Strong hands-on HVAC experience, including troubleshooting, repairs, system adjustments, and mechanical maintenance
* Experience maintaining air handling units (AHUs), chillers, boilers, pumps, compressors, and building automation systems
* Ability to perform routine facility maintenance and equipment repairs, including replacement of gauges, sensors, valves, and other mechanical components
* Experience supporting HVAC systems within regulated manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotech, or similar environments
* Ability to coordinate vendors and contractors performing preventative maintenance and service activities
* Experience reviewing equipment performance, identifying issues, and implementing corrective actions
Nice to Have:
* Cleanroom HVAC experience
* Building Management System (BMS) experience
* Metrology or calibration experience
* Experience supporting GMP-regulated facilities
