Position Summary
As a Facilities Technician you will support the maintenance, safety, and functionality of all Salon | Spa and Med Spa locations. In this role you will perform routine repairs, coordinate vendor support, and ensure a high standard of facility presentation to deliver an exceptional client and team experience.
Essential Functions

Perform general maintenance duties including electrical, plumbing, HVAC support, carpentry, and basic mechanical repairs.

Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues (salon chairs, dryers, spa tables, aesthetic equipment, etc.).

Conduct regular facility walkthroughs to identify issues proactively.

Execute preventive maintenance schedules for building systems and equipment.

Ensure all equipment logs and maintenance records are up to date.

Identify opportunities to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.

Maintain OSHA, state, and local compliance standards.

Support safety inspections, fire systems checks, eyewash stations, and emergency equipment readiness.

Correct hazardous conditions promptly to ensure a safe environment.

Respond to work order requests in a timely, service-oriented manner.

Coordinate external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs.

Track parts, tools, and supply inventory.

Assist with installation, relocation, and setup of equipment or furniture.

Support minor construction or remodel projects as needed.

Maintain cleanliness and functionality of back-of-house mechanical and storage areas.

Participate in an on-call rotation for urgent facility issues.

Provide rapid response to power outages, water leaks, equipment failures, or other operational disruptions.

Required Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and/or mechanical systems.

Familiarity with work order systems.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Possesses a sense of urgency and attention to detail.

Ability to prioritize multiple projects at any given time.

Ability to travel across our 13 locations across the Chicagoland area and to our HQ in Schaumburg (as needed). Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, weekend/night work may be required from time to time as needed.
Education and Experience:

2+ years of facilities, maintenance, or building operations experience required.

Experience in retail, hospitality, salon/spa, medical spa, or multi-unit environments is preferred.

Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks safely.

Valid driver’s license; reliable transportation.
