Job DescriptionJob title: Software EngineerOverview
Seeking junior and mid‑level Software Engineers to support Department of the Navy software modernization and development efforts. Work may involve either legacy system sustainment or new development for emerging unmanned systems. Final program assignment is determined after an on‑site interview.
Responsibilities
- Debug, analyze, and enhance existing Navy software systems
- Support new development activities for unmanned platforms
- Work within Linux‑based environments using C++ and modern languages
- Contribute independently and within small engineering teams
- Follow DoD development, security, and documentation standards
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active Secret Clearance
- 1–6 years of software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in C++ and Linux
- Experience with Java, Python, or Ruby
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with legacy codebases or modernization
- Embedded systems or DoD/Navy program experience
- Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $62.50/hr.
