Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift
Location: Charlotte, NC 28273
Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team on 3rd shift. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production equipment to ensure maximum uptime, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities and experience working in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing machinery.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and production support requests in a timely manner.
- Diagnose issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Maintain motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, sensors, and other production equipment.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
- Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
- Support efforts to improve machine reliability, efficiency, and overall plant performance.
- Work closely with production personnel to minimize downtime and maximize throughput.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or maintenance certifications preferred.
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, motors, and automated equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting preferred.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently during overnight operations.
