Our challenge:
\n
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer / Database Engineer with strong experience in database engineering, data integration, data architecture, and enterprise data solutions. The ideal candidate will consult on complex initiatives, contribute to large-scale database engineering efforts, and collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to design, optimize, and maintain scalable data platforms.

This role requires a strong understanding of database technologies, data modeling, performance optimization, data governance, and enterprise compliance standards. The candidate will work on complex, high-impact initiatives involving large datasets, mission-critical applications, and strategic data engineering solutions.

The Role
\n
Responsibilities:
\n
Consult on complex and large-scale database engineering initiatives with significant business impact.
\n
Analyze and resolve complex database and data engineering challenges requiring evaluation of multiple technical and business factors.
\n
Design, develop, implement, and support enterprise-grade database solutions.
\n
Build and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration frameworks.
\n
Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
\n
Design logical and physical data models to support business and analytical requirements.
\n
Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and governance across enterprise platforms.
\n
Collaborate with application development, architecture, analytics, and infrastructure teams.
\n
Support cloud and on-premises database environments.
\n
Participate in database migration, modernization, and automation initiatives.
\n
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
\n
Provide technical leadership and consultation to stakeholders and project teams.
\n
Contribute to strategic planning, architecture reviews, and database engineering best practices.
\n
\n
Required Skills:
\n
5+ years of Database Engineering or Data Engineering experience.
\n
Strong experience with relational database management systems such as:
\n

- Oracle
- SQL Server
- PostgreSQL
- MySQL

\n
\n
\n
Strong SQL development and query optimization skills.
\n
Experience with data modeling and database design principles.
\n
Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
\n
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
\n
Experience with performance tuning, indexing, and database optimization.
\n
Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance requirements.
\n
Experience working in Agile development environments.
\n
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
\n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
\n
\n
Preferred, but not required:
\n
Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
\n
Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, or Synapse.
\n
Hands-on experience with Python, Shell Scripting, or Java for automation.
\n
Experience with Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS, or other ETL tools.
\n
Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices for data engineering.
\n
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise data platforms.
\n
Financial Services or Banking domain experience preferred.
\n
