Amplifire is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to help improve software quality through automation, modern testing practices, and AI-assisted workflows. This role combines automated testing, manual testing, and emerging AI-assisted approaches to improve test coverage, system reliability, and release confidence.
You will help build and maintain automated regression suites, contribute to AI-assisted testing workflows, and support testing efforts across frontend and backend systems. This role includes a combination of hands-on automation work, exploratory testing, and collaboration with engineering and product teams to ensure high-quality releases.
While AI-assisted QA is still evolving within Amplifire, the team actively uses modern AI tools to improve efficiency, streamline testing workflows, and accelerate coverage.
Amplifire operates in a regulated environment (e.g., FedRAMP, SOC 2), where auditability, correctness, and reliability matter alongside development speed.

• Use AI-driven testing systems that simulate user behavior and surface regressions.
• Help evaluate AI-driven features for quality, reliability, and consistency.
• Follow and contribute to evolving best practices for AI-assisted QA workflows.
• Use modern AI tools to improve testing efficiency and workflow effectiveness.
Automation, Manual Testing & Quality Fundamentals
• Build and maintain automated regression suites using Cypress or similar frameworks.
• Partner with engineering and product to embed quality early.
• Perform manual and exploratory testing for complex workflows.
• Maintain high-quality test cases and documentation.
• Track defects in Jira and contribute to quality metrics.

Required Experience
· 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, including designing and maintaining automated test frameworks in production environments.
· 2+ years of experience with Cypress or similar modern E2E testing frameworks.
· Strong QA fundamentals, including test coverage strategy, risk assessment, defect writing, and regression planning / execution.
AI & Modern Tooling
· Hands-on experience applying AI/LLMs to testing workflows, such as generating test cases, analyzing results, and improving coverage.
· Experience testing AI/LLM-driven features.
· Familiarity with modern AI development tools and workflows (e.g., Copilot, Claude Code, or similar), applied pragmatically.
Technical & Collaboration skills
· Comfortable working across a modern web stack (e.g., React, TypeScript, Java, Python) and combining automation, manual, and exploratory testing for full system coverage.
· Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first year, success in this role looks like:
· Automated test coverage becomes more reliable and easier to maintain.
· Regression testing effort is reduced through increased automation.
· AI-assisted workflows improve testing efficiency and reduce repetitive work.
· AI-first workflows are adopted and usable by other QA engineers.
