Position Overview:
As a Cloud Database Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our cloud-based databases. You will work closely with our IT team to ensure that our databases are secure, efficient, and scalable. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database development, as well as experience with cloud-based database technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based databases for our company's applications and systems
- Collaborate with our IT team to ensure that databases are secure, efficient, and scalable
- Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments to improve speed and efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve any database issues in a timely manner
- Develop and implement data backup and recovery strategies
- Create and maintain technical documentation for all databases and related systems
- Stay up-to-date with emerging database technologies and make recommendations for improvements to our systems
- Work closely with other developers to integrate databases with applications and systems
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve database design and performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in database development, preferably in a cloud environment
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database design principles
- Experience with cloud-based database technologies, such as Amazon RDS, Microsoft Azure SQL, or Google Cloud SQL
- Familiarity with database security best practices
- Experience with data backup and recovery strategies
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Attention to detail and a strong focus on quality and efficiency
